Better Together: We’re merging with Signal Centers!

The Speech & Hearing Center Joins Signal Centers to Better Serve the Community

The Speech & Hearing Center Board of Directors is pleased to announce a collaborative partnership to expand services for children and adults with speech and hearing challenges.

The Speech & Hearing Center, a recognized leader in providing top-of-the-line audiology, speech, occupational and physical therapy services to the community, is excited to announce its arrangement with Signal Centers to ensure individuals experiencing hearing and speech impairments have the best technology and access to these services now and for many years to come. This strategic partnership further solidifies The Speech & Hearing Center’s dedication to enhancing communication and enriching lives.

This consolidation aligns with Signal Centers mission to empower individuals to reach their full potential, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society. Signal Centers has been serving children with disabilities since 1957. The Speech & Hearing Center has been serving the community since 1953 and are an integral resource for the region, providing services for all ages and income levels. They have a sliding fee scale for the un or under-insured who cannot afford services. And for those who can, a portion of every service or product purchase assists those in our area who would otherwise not be able to afford therapy or hearing devices.

“We are thrilled to welcome The Speech & Hearing Center into the Signal Center family,” said Donna McConnico, CEO of Signal Centers “We have become adept at joining with nonprofits to streamline the administrations of both organizations. Others we have done this with include the Dolly Parton Imagination Library and the Hart Gallery. This opportunity is a natural next step to better serve our community.”

“By uniting with Signal Centers, we can retain our values and our identity,” said Taylor Bostwick, CEO of the Speech & Hearing Center “By working together we will continue to serve our clients while also being able to scale our services and technology.”

Families can expect a seamless transition over the next few months. The Speech & Hearing Center will continue operating at the same location, with the same caring staff, services and technology. Taylor Bostwick will remain at the helm of The Speech & Hearing Center, as a program of Signal Centers.
