Meet Rachel Mathis, M.S., CCC-SLP
Rachel strives to put the fun in FUNctional, allowing clients to make meaningful connections to the concepts and skills targeted during sessions. Since entering the field, Rachel has found that her greatest strength is centered around building a strong therapeutic alliance with her clients and igniting a love of learning within them. Her personal mantra is “Little things make big things happen. Being a speech-language pathologist is not about changing the world all at once. It’s about viewing each client as a chance to make big things happen.”
Prior to the Center, she served as a speech-language pathologist for PruittHealth and Walker County Schools in Georgia. She obtained her bachelor’s degree at Middle Tennessee State University and her master’s degree at Samford University. Rachel is a licensed speech-language pathologist in Georgia and Tennessee and is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
