The speech-language pathologists at The Speech & Hearing Center provide comprehensive speech-language evaluations, as well as ongoing therapy. This includes fluency assessments and use of the SpeechEasy® fluency devise for those who stutter
Speech-language therapy addresses speech disorders, where an individual is unable to produce speech sounds correctly or fluently, or has problems with voice. It is also used to treat language disorders, where an individual has trouble understanding others or sharing thoughts, ideas and feelings completely.
Through speech therapy, we treat:
- Speech delays
- Voice production and regulation
- Oral motor skills
- Unintelligible speech
- Articulation and phonological disorders
- Resonance disorders
Since early intervention is key, we regularly reach out to surrounding daycares and preschools to conduct screenings for children 5 years and under.
Our speech therapy services are offered to those of all ages at the clinic, as well as off-site at schools and adult daycare centers. For convenience, we also have a satellite office in the First Presbyterian Church of Cleveland.
